C Analog Output Function

An analog voltage proportional to the displayed value can be output using an

optional I/O board in the range of ±10 V.

The analog output scaling range is between -99.9999 and 999.9999 in “mm” (-

0.99999 and -99.9999 in “inch”), and the ripple is 5 mV.

● Scaling

The analog output is scaled to set the changing rate (inclination) of the analog

output relative to the displayed value. Enter a value to be displayed, relative to +10

V and -10 V respectively.

When the analog output is set to “+10 V = 30.000” and “-10 V = 10.000”, the

relation between analog output and displayed value is as follows:

Note: Resolution

The resolution of the LS-5000 series’ analog output is 5 mV. The resolution in

displayed value varies depending on the scaling.

Example 1

When the analog output is set to “+10 V = 10.000” and “-10 V = -10.000”:

20 (V) : 0.005 (V) = 20 (mm) : x (mm) x = 0.005 mm

Example 2

When the analog output is set to “+10 V = 40.000” and “-10 V = 0.0000”:

20 (V) : 0.005 (V) = 40 (mm) : x (mm) x = 0.010 mm

■ Setting Procedure

1. Select the OPTIONS screen. Press the [OPTIONS] button.

2. Select the OUTPUT MODE screen. Press the [OUTPUT] button.
